5:15 Short tour of Repertory Theatre by theatre member
5:45 Maryika will talk, complemented with slides, about her experience participating in the Florence Biennale
We are extending the evening for those who would like to join us.
We have a block booking to attend the comedy “Hobson’s Choice” with a large cast including one of our Avant Gardeners Sally Nicholls, of Re-Cycle fame.
Tickets : $17 adult, $12 concession includes drinks and supper
6:45 drinks – 7:30 sharp start – Supper during intermission
Depending on interest / time availability, we may arrange a group table for a light meal Park house Café, next to the theatre, which does offer a special price to theatre goers for meals before the show. To be confirmed closer to date to those Members participating.

A new feature in 2009 was Performance Ephemera where individuals, small troupes and School groups performed in parks and gardens around the city during the Carnival. Graphic artists also had opportunities to demonstrate and display their works for sale.
Artists in Gardens
This program was a new feature of Avant Garden in 2009 with artists working in parks and gardens, interacting with the visitors to the gardens. Works on paper, board and canvas were produced on site, giving the public the opportunity to witness artists in action. As this project was held in spring, a time of renewal and regeneration, artists were asked to consider spring and carnival as an integral part of the project.
