About QAC
Arts Council Toowoomba is affiliated with Queensland Arts Council (QAC) and is one of the network of Local Arts Councils (LACs) in 62 Queensland regional communities.
Through this network and partnerships with Queensland’s leading performing arts companies, QAC provides a broad and dynamic range of performances, exhibitions, workshops, master classes, arts related services and funding programs of assistance to Queensland communities.
These services make a pivotal contribution to the culturally led revitalisation of
regional communities.
QAC is strongly supported by both the Queensland Government (through long-standing partnerships with Arts Queensland and Education Queensland) and the Federal Government through the Department of Communication, Information Technology and the Arts and the Australia Council for the Arts.
QAC works closely with Local Governments through the LAC network and also plays a national advocacy role for regional arts. We are also able to leverage significant national outcomes for regional Queenslanders through our membership of Regional Arts Australia.
