The “SELF-evident’ series has been developed from memories, dreams & intuition.
The house forms are visual metaphors for the higher SELF – that place where intuition and inspiration reside.
The works are purposely unnamed – assigned only a generic name & number. Although the work is sourced from a personal fund of inspiration, their generic naming leaves room for the viewers to supply their own interpretations, to tap into intuition, memory or imagination.
The artwork can either stand alone or be seen as the conversation between artist and audience. They may mean nothing to some, while being rich with suggestion for others: all is valid.
The works are completely synthesised in the digital environment from my original photographs - what I have termed ‘digital collage’ There is very little, if any use of the seductive filters & special effects possible
Available as a limited edition Giclee print with archival inks on Hahnemuhle Photo Rag paper (artwork area 400mm x 400mm) or as an unlimited edition (artwork area 123mm x 123mm)
